Description- 

Chromium is a sleek, lightweight browser that provides an efficient browsing experience with no unnecessary clutter. We've always been Firefox loyalists ourselves, but Chromium impressed us quite a bit.

To the uninitiated, Chromium's interface may seem rather sparse. There aren't a lot of buttons, and we were momentarily confused by its lack of a search box. With a bit of exploration, though, we soon caught on. We easily imported our bookmarks and other settings from Firefox, allowing us to make a pretty seamless transition. We loved that the search box and address bar are combined into one space; they worked surprisingly well that way. The fact that opening a new tab or window shows a grid of the user's most-visited Web sites is ingenious; getting to your favorite Web destinations has never been faster or easier. In fact, everything about Chromium is fast, from its start-up to the way it handles Web pages. The program's Help file directs users to Google's Chrome Web site, which is fine, as the programs are virtually identical.

Transitioning to a new browser always requires an adjustment period, but overall, we found Chromium to be quite intuitive and pleasurable to use. We didn't have to do a lot of searching for the features that we wanted and, even though it's relatively no-frills, we didn't find ourselves missing anything. Chromium is free. It comes as a zip file and runs after extraction with no need to install. We highly recommend this program to all users.

Mozilla Firefox 6 Final Free Download.

The final version of Firefox 6 (FF6) is already available for free download ahead of the scheduled release date on August 16, 2011. The setup installers of Firefox 6 has already been posted on Mozilla FTP server, which is accessible to all.

Firefox 6 does not have major cosmetic change though, but is nonetheless a major upgrade as it improves on Firefox performance and memory consumption, which now is snappier and uses less memory. In addition, the domain name of the URL is now been highlighted and made bold.

Mobile version of Firefox 6 for Android will be released together with the desktop version. FF6 for Android offers fresh visual style, enhanced browsing experience, smooth scaling and scrolling.

System Requirements

Before installing, make sure your computer meets the system requirements.

Downloading

Mozilla provides Firefox 4 Beta for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X in avariety of languages. For builds for other systems and languages not provided by Mozilla, see the Contributed Builds section at the end of this document.

Installing

Please note that installing Firefox 4 Beta will not overwrite your existing installation of Firefox. You won’t lose any of your bookmarks or browsing history, but some of your extensions and other add-ons might not work until updates for them are made available.

Uninstalling

You can remove Firefox 4 Beta with the Add/Removes Programs utility on Windows, by moving the Firefox application to the Trash on Mac OS X, or by deleting the containing folder on Linux.

By default, removing Firefox 4 Beta won’t remove your bookmarks, web browsing history, extensions or other add-ons. This data is stored in your profile folder, which can be found by going to the Help menu and selecting Troubleshooting Information.... The button next to theProfile Directory line in Application Basics will open your profile directory in your system's file explorer.

Please note that if you keep your profile, any version of Firefox that you install after removing Firefox 4 Beta will continue to use the bookmarks, web browsing history, add-ons, and other data from this profile folder.

Add-ons and Themes

Add-ons installed with previous versions of Firefox may not yet have been updated by their authors to work with this Firefox 4 Beta. If you wish to help test Add-ons, please install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter - your favorite Add-on author will appreciate it!

Known Issues

This list covers some of the known problems with Firefox 4 Beta which will be resolved in future versions:

All Systems

• Users visiting Hotmail.com will likely experience repeated reloading of the page. This is an issue on Microsoft's side and will be fixed in a future site update (see bug 627729)
• The popular video site Hulu.com is not displaying content to beta users due to bad "user-agent" detection in their code (see bug 580843)
• Users will experience many incompatibilities with bookmarks and history if they downgrade to any Firefox 4 beta before beta 8. Users can still downgrade back to Firefox 3.6 (see bug 620723 and bug 614439)
• For some users, scrolling in the main GMail window will be slower than usual (see bug 579260)
• The site Formspring is not displaying content to beta users due to bad "user-agent" detection in their code (see bug 620344)
• If you try to start Firefox using a locked profile, it will crash (see bug 573369)
• Users using Firefox Sync with their mobile device will need to update to the latest Firefox 4 beta for mobile

Mac OS X

• The 32bit Microsoft Silverlight plugin fails to load when using a 64bit version of Firefox on Mac OS X 10.6. Sites that depend on the plugin (such as Netflix) will fail to work (seebug 598406)
• This version of the beta will not work on Macintosh hardware with Power PC CPUs (see bug 587799)

Linux and Unix

• The video control buttons may not work when viewing QuickTime videos with libtotem (see bug 625036)
• Users compiling from source might need a newer gcc and libstdc++ as the build requirements have changed (see bug 578880)

Troubleshooting

• Poorly designed or incompatible extensions can cause problems with your browser, including make it crash, slow down page display, etc. If you encounter strange problems relating to parts of the browser no longer working, the browser not starting, windows with strange or distorted appearance, degraded performance, etc, you may be suffering from Extension or Theme trouble. Restart the browser in Safe Mode. On Windows, start using the "Safe Mode" shortcut created in your Start menu or by running firefox.exe -safe-mode. On Linux, start with ./firefox -safe-mode and on Mac OS X, run:
  cd /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/
./firefox-bin -safe-mode
  When started in Safe Mode all extensions are disabled and the Default theme is used. Disable the Extension/Theme that is causing trouble and then start normally.
• If you uninstall an extension that is installed with your user profile (i.e. you installed it from a Web page) and then wish to install it for all user profiles using the -install-global-extension command line flag, you must restart the browser once to cleanse the profile extensions datasource of traces of that extension before installing with the switch. If you do not do this you may end up with a jammed entry in the Extensions list and will be unable to install the extension globally.
• If you encounter strange problems relating to bookmarks, downloads, window placement, toolbars, history, or other settings, it is recommended that you try creating a new profile and attempting to reproduce the problem before filing bugs. Create a new profile by running Firefox with the -P command line argument, choose the "Manage Profiles" button and then choose "Create Profile...". Migrate your settings files (Bookmarks, Saved Passwords, etc) over one by one, checking each time to see if the problems resurface. If you do find a particular profile data file is causing a problem, file a bug and attach the file.

While some internet browsers are for-profit applications backed by major corporations, the SeaMonkeybrowser suite is an open-source, community-driven project. This means any developers, marketers or testers interested in contributing to the development of the internet browser can do so. However, many of SeaMonkey’s inherent drawbacks are a result of its open-source platform, and the browser lacks the sleekness and ease of use the top internet browsers in our lineup possess.

The hallmark feature of SeaMonkey is the fact that it is an all-in-one internet suite. This means not only does it provide browsing capabilities, it also has an email client, built-in chat and a WYSIWYG (“what you see is what you get”) editor that helps you build simple, basic websites. Subsequently, SeaMonkey is a good default browser if you are seeking an all-inclusive internet suite that limits the number of individual applications you need to utilize.

We also liked that the browser supports most of the add-ons and extensions compatible with Mozilla’s Firefox; both internet browsers use the same rendering engine. SeaMonkey also offers beneficial features such as a password manager, customizable toolbars and the ability to restore sessions. The internet browser, however, doesn’t provide many of the more advanced features we looked for in web browsers. It doesn’t provide mouse gestures or voice interaction for multimodial browsing, nor does it have a native RSS feeder or the ability to save bookmarks.

Since SeaMonkey is built on Mozilla’s source code, the internet browser also benefits from most of Mozilla’s security functions. The internet browser safeguards against most online threats including viruses, rootkits and fraudulent phishing websites. You can also download new security updates directly from the SeaMonkey website. 

When it comes to ease of use, SeaMonkey is easy to install and its features are easy to access and utilize. With that said, the SeaMonkey interface feels clunky and outdated, reminiscent of a very early version of Firefox. Its lack of polish doesn’t hamper usability but it does make the internet browser feel archaic and obsolete, especially compared to the other internet browsers we reviewed.

One area we were surprised to find SeaMonkey perform below our expectations was in speed. The internet browser uses the same source code as Firefox but it surprisingly slower. In our time trials, it took SeaMonkey nearly six seconds to first initialize, with an average startup time of five seconds. The web browser’s navigation speed from one page to another was slightly faster, at about four seconds. The difference in speed between SeaMonkey and our top-ranked internet browsers is just a few seconds but in terms of browsing speed, that difference can be significant.

SeaMonkey provides very few support options for users. As an open-source platform, the browser relies heavily on community users to provide support. The user forums prove to be a good resource, where you can ask questions and find relevant information to your inquiry.

Summary

SeaMonkey is a good, but far from great, internet browser. Its features are practical, albeit basic, and it provides protection from dangerous internet threats. Many users will also find its all-in-one functionality convenient. However, SeaMonkey desperately needs a facelift and improved browsing speeds in order to compete with the more widely used internet browsers on the market.

Maxthon 3 Free Download.

About Maxthon 3

Maxthon 3 is a hybrid web browser that combines both, Internet Explorer’s Trident and WebKit rendering engines. Therefore, users can switch between two of them, in case there are compatibility issues. Furthermore, it includes one of the fastest JavaScript engines, which is Google’s V8.

Although Maxthon 3 is one of the most popular web browsers in China, it failed to gain significant ground everywhere else.

Can version 3 change that? Let’s find out.

Upon the launch, browser greets you with a simple, good looking UI, as well as an introductory page that explains the new features of Maxthon 3.

The Good

As you might expect, browser does indeed feel fast. In fact, I went ahead and deleted cache (no change), just because it loaded non-heavy web pages instantly; but then again, you can achieve pretty much same results with most modern web browsers, such as: Google Chrome.

What about features?

Maxthon 3 includes Opera’s Speed Dial with drag & drop support, allowing you to quickly access frequently visited web pages.

Additionally, you can synchronize your favorites across difference computers (registration is required, obviously).

One of the more interesting Maxthon 3 features is “Maxthon Multi Search”. Basically, it allows you to quickly seek for information via different search engines. Can be really useful, especially when it comes to images search or news.

Fortunately for web developers, it also includes WebKit Developer Tools (see the following page for comparison). No additional files or add-ons are required, just hit on the icon and you are all set.

Maxthon Magic Fill

Settings page is where Maxthon 3 truly shines. Have you ever found a setting that was not well explained (if explained at all)? Well, worry no more. Thanks to geniuses behind the idea, Maxthon does a pretty good job explaining some of them.

The Bad

Although Maxthon 3 includes an integrated ad hunter, when it comes to more “advanced” use, it’s really not that useful. I couldn’t easily block flash ads and browser crashed when I tried to turn this feature off.

ACID3

As you can see from test results, although Maxthon scored 100/100, it has not passed the test.

What happens when you turn on developer tools on such page?

Anything else?

Yes, sometimes browser feels like a mess, it’s hard to find a specific setting or function you want. For example: I was trying to view page source, pressed Alt button to see the menu but nothing happened. Then went to the menu itself but couldn’t find “View Source” item. Tried “page menu” (where you enable Developer Tools, etc.), still no luck..

All I had to do was simply click right mouse button and vuala. Same with search, you can’t find “multi-search” settings in browser “Options…” menu.

Customization

One of the biggest Maxthon 3 downfalls is UI customization, or lack of it. I am not sure if it’s even possible to remove a single design element or button.

It’s like developers saying: here, use it as we tell you to, and don’t you dare to change anything.

REVIEW

The second-oldest browser currently in use, Opera debuted way back in 1995 and has recently undergone a major overhaul. No longer the quirky choice of enthusiasts, Opera has developed into a robust, full-featured suite of browsing tools.

Opera covers the basics with tabbed browsing, mouse-over previews, a customizable search bar, advanced bookmarking tools, and simple integration with e-mail and chat clients. Mouse-gesture support, keyboard shortcuts, and drag-and-drop functionality round out the essentials.

Installation
Installing Opera is a fast and short process, taking less than two minutes. Many of Opera's built-in features require creating a MyOpera account, but the browser will only prompt you to do so when you use them for the first time--it's not required to browse.

Tap the "Options" button on the first install screen to reveal configuration tweaks. Besides changing the browser's default language and install path, you can also install for just the currently-signed on user, or choose to install Opera directly to an external device. It's a great, simple way to create a portable version of Opera for a USB key.

Interface
Opera's interface keeps the same look that debuted in Opera 10.50, with a condensed menu button in the upper left corner, tabs on top, and a translucent status bar on the bottom that hosts buttons to reveal Opera's Panels, and to activate Link, Unite, and Turbo. The bottom right corner of the status bar sports a dedicated zoom button.
